Rainbow Bridge Animal Rescue

Rainbow’s story began on Mother’s Day, May 8th, 2022. His young mama, Sushi, came into foster care already pregnant at only seven months old. She lost all her kittens at birth—except one. The tiniest, last-born survivor: Rainbow.

From his first breath, Rainbow’s will to live was extraordinary. His foster mom became his round-the-clock caregiver—syringe-feeding him every two to three hours, helping him go to the bathroom, and tending to Sushi with hot compresses in hopes she could recover enough to nurse.

Against all odds, Rainbow made it. He grew stronger and brighter every day, a little soul who radiated pure joy and trust. But shortly after his first birthday, devastating news came—Rainbow was diagnosed with terminal multicentric lymphoma.

Surrounded by his devoted foster mom and a compassionate veterinary team, Rainbow crossed the bridge peacefully, leaving behind a love too big to fade. Though his time on earth was short, his impact was infinite. His passing became the spark that inspired the rescue of forty-five more lives—and counting.

Rainbow’s legacy lives on in every animal welcomed into care, in every act of love, safety, and advocacy offered in his name. He reminds us that even the smallest lives can leave the biggest marks, and that pure, unconditional love can ripple outward to change. the world.
